Oxford University Archives

Welcome to Oxford University Archives.

Our aim is to select and preserve the administrative records of the University and its departments, and to make them, and the information they contain, available for administrative and research purposes.

We are based in the Bodleian Library, in the Tower of the Five Orders, but we are a separate department of the University.

This site aims to give you more information about:

- the records we hold
- how to make enquiries about our records
- our access procedures
- the history of the Archives

The Archives can also offer advice to staff in University departments and the central administration concerning the potential value of their records and their transfer to the Archives.
